Personal display boards

Soo today was the last day of defending our personal display boards.  I think I did pretty good.  We made got boards and made it our personal display boards by adding 10 accomplishments to it.  It sort of reflects on how much we've gone through out the year.  It shows us what we've accomplished.  Also how it changed us.  It was kind of hard completing this assignment, because I had to really think about all the accomplishments.  Also the whole theme of it.  Mines was a garden, and the flowers had to mean something, not just for decoration.  We all had 10 accomplishments and something to represent it on the board.  We started with something empty, and had to fill it up with accomplishments.  I thought it was a hard assignment to finish.  But what was even harder was answering the questions he gave us on Monday and Wednesday, well today.  We had to make the board mean something.  We couldn't leave it empty, otherwise it means we accomplished nothing through out the year.  The items we put mean something, and we had to explain it very well.  If we just spent little time on it, then the board means nothing.  We all started off with an empty board, and had to make it mean something.  If not, then there's no point to the assignment if we don't take the time to do it.
Before I started
I think a highlight would be coming up with a theme for my board.  I really liked the theme of mine, which was a garden theme.  A garden full of accomplishments.  So I really liked how mine turned out.  But the low light in my opinion was defending my board.  It was kind of hard answering about the flowers on my board.  At first I just said it was for decoration, but it sort of went deeper into things.  It was hard understanding the questions and answering.  It was about the flowers and sort of the theme on my board.  A garden with flowers.  What did the flowers really mean.  I said it was the other accomplishments, with 12 flowers on the board.  Which meant 2 more.  Then we got more into it.  It was hard answering the questions, but I think I defended my board pretty well.  The second time defending my board was harder then the first time obviously.  It was hard answering question about the flowers, because while adding things onto my board, I just thought of it as a decoration to go along with my theme.  Now it means more than that, more accomplishments were made.  Sort of what the flowers mean, for the other accomplishments.  With the new item on my board, which was a book.  Added when I had to make a second defense.  For the other flower which like I said was another accomplishment.  This was a low light since I had a harder time answering than the first time, and I didn't like it very much.
Flowers on my board
The lesson I learned from doing this project if that sometimes what you least expect has a meaning to it.  You might not see it or realize it, but somethings have a meaning to it.  For example, the flowers.  They had a meaning to it, but it took me time to realize and understand what it was.  The theme wasn't just anything to make the board look nice.  It actually meant something.  Also the book added to my board.  It wasnt just some random book.  It represented something.  It wasn't just some random book mr.ing told me to get from the table.  It represented the time I got into the problem involved with AR.  It took me a while to see what it meant, but I understood why he told me to get the book off the table.  I was a little confused at first, but I understood it afterwards.  A lot of things have a meaning to it.  We just have to go deep into it and see what it means.  I don't see a meaning in a lot of things, but I just have to get deep into it and realize that a lot of my surroundings have a purpose and mean something.  Like the flowers, and the AR book.  Also my theme.  Of course it has to mean something, if it didn't why would it be on my board.  So it couldn't be for just decoration.

Theres no going back

Well my title , theres no going back.  Its all about the new rule since we have been slacking a little.  Not showing up, being late, or just showing up and not doing anything.  So a new rule was made that if we dont show up, or if we just exist and not do anything , or come late we cant come back.  We'll basically just exist.  So either we do our job right, or theres no going back.  Well monday.  Just a typical monday, the same routine.  Working paynents morning , recess, and lunch.  Also worked the new job, not really liking it.  But oh well, it is what it is.  It felt weird not going to track afterschool.  I really miss it.  Tuesday, same thing.  Another normal tuesday.  Afterschool was boring, since I have nothing to do since track id done.  Wednesday, wasn't the best.  Personal display boards were due, and not everyone was done.  I was done with mine, but not everyone else was.  People were working on it in the morning, and computers were not supposed to be used.  Not very responsible,  and could have been avoided if we all took the time to work on it instead of finishing it the day it was due.  But it should all be fixed now.  Thursday same routine.  Nothing special.   Friday we found out about the new rule.  Also career day, I was hosting the people who make our uniforms.  I got to make my own shirt, but it was a little boring.  Afterschool was fun though !!  First I painted the mural for AVID,  then after I went to emis house.  While walking there we stopped by baskin robins.  Then after I went inside pinoy grill and just started talking to the lady xD.  She gave us free coke !!  Im a fob, so I guess she liked me (x  soafter we just chilled at emis house.  Saturday all I did was go Ihop.  I wanted ti go pride for ewa, but my dad was mad so he didn't let me go out.  Then I went to a party.  Thats about it.

The highlight of my week would have to be friday.  I had a chill day.  Career day was pretty fun, and went well.  They fed us aafterwards,  and I have to say the food wasnt that bad.  Also aftersch like I mentioned, the lady at pinoy grill gave us free drinks xD. It was 2 large cokes.  I wanted water, but coke was better xD. My moms co worker owns pinoy grill, which I forgot to mention.  Lol but just the fact that it was at pinoy grill makes me laugh.  That was just a chill day.  At emis house we were home alone, and I got home around 7.  It was good hanging out with emi, since track days we didn't see eachother that much.  But I wish track was still going on, because I really really miss it.  It kept me occupied every week. Now i don't have much things to do afterschool.  Getting back to friday, I just had fun.  I haven't had a chill day like that in a while, and it was good to get that feeling back again.  I can't wait for summer though, more days just like that.  So friday was definitely the highlight of my week.

The lesson I learned is that we need to be more responsible in leadership.  Its almost the end of the year, which means we wanna get more relaxed.   But we can't,  since we have a lot of things on our hands.  Graduation,  class day, banquet, and others.  We need to be more responsible.  Even with the little things like our jobs.  We need to be putting more effort.  Because right now we're not doing a great job.  We need to be responsible enough to be on time and ready.  To be there and be ready to work.  We can just show up, and just exist.  We need place our priorities first before anything else.  Before we face the consequences, like I mentioned.   Its almost the end of the year, and we wouldn't want to end it on a bad note.  We could hold back on relaxing for a couple more weeks.  Delay gratification.   Once we finish everything that need to be done, we could lay back and enjoy what we done.  So the lesson I learned is to fulfill the responsibilities that I committed myself to from the day I applied for leadership.

Track week !!!!!

Heey guys!!  I hope you all had a lovely week!!  Well this week was busy with track, since the meet was today!!  I wish I could put the pictures on here, but it's on my phone not on my laptop.  Well this week period 2 worked afterschool sales.  Nohing really major.  Monday.  Monday was my bestfriends birthday!  And I couldn't miss it because I barely hang out with her now with leadership and track.  So I recieved payments in the morning, recess, and during lunch as usual.  Right after after school sales, I went to eat pho for her birthday!  Then I went home, got changed and ready to go to shokudo (sp) for her birthday that night!  It was my first time there, and I love honey toast!  We got home around 11, and on Tuesday I was really sleepy.  Well Tuesday, same old day.  Recieving payment again at the same times.  After school sales, then track.  Wednesday, same thing again.  Payment, after school sales and track.  Softball was canceled, but that's okay because we don't have a game tomorrow.  I wish we did, but at the same time no because I would still be tired from the track meet.  Thursday, payment again which was the last day to turn it in.  Also during period 2 some ladies came and we had a meeting about yearbook.  I think the new features they introduced were pretty cool.  With all those edits, our yearbook next year is gonna be really nice.  To end the day, ofcourse after school sales.  Then track.  Only those who's grades were good enough got to go to the meet today.  My grades were good, so I obivously got to go.  Then we had the mock track meet.  Friday, all I did was stay home and I was feeling kind of sick.  Saturday, track meet.  It was really fun!  It went on for a long time.  I think we all did a good job with everything!  I did the distance medley 400, and the 4x400.  I also did shotput.  I was hoping to get the ribbons when we got to boys and girls club, but it can wait.

The highlight of my week would have to be the track meet.  It was really fun!  I had a great time running, and watching everyone run.  The girls from Ilima got 5th place as a team.  The Ilima boys got 3rd.  We all did good no matter what though!  I liked running.  I'm actually kind of glad I ran 400 instead of 800.  Because if I ran the 800, I probably would have walked at some point.  But I think Macky did a really good job at the end.  She looked really tired but she sprinted and got passed the girl in front of here.  That was a pretty wide gap that she closed.  So I really have to give her credit for that.  Another highlight is going to my friend's birthday celebration.  I had a great night with her.  We barely hang out, so it was nice to just spend a night with her for her birthday.  The food was amazing, and so was the honey toast!  First time and I loved it!  I really need to eat there again.

The lesson I learned is even though it gets hard we need to try our best to strive through.  Coming from the quote, "If you can't fly then run.  If you can't run then walk.  If you can't walk then crawl.  Don't let anything stop you from moving forward."  That sort of motivated me throughout the race.  For the 4x400 I was in the 2nd lane which meant I was in the back of everyone.  They were going pretty fast, but I passed one of them atleast(x  I was slowing down toward the end.  But afterwards I just pushed myself to go faster.  So no matter how hard it gets, just strive through with all your might.  Get through whatever you need to in order to finish.  Do it with your best effort.  Like the race, if you slow down and don't put all you got into it, what's the point of racing?  What's the point of doing anything if not your full effort is put in?  So the lesson I learned is to get through things with all your effort, to strive through.

Orientation busy week!

Hii guys!!  This week was really busy.  It was all about orientation.  Well this was a pretty good week.  Monday.  Monday we were focused on orientation, since it was the next day.  We practiced during homeroom,  and lunch as always.  I worked afterschool sales this week.  Monday I ddidn't run at track.  I was  kind of nervouse for the next day.  Tuesday, orientation day 1.  Holomua, iriqouis, and ewa beach elementary came.  I missed holomua and I was hapoy to see my teacher again.  I think I did good on tuesday.  But I was still a little nervous.  Mr.ing got us pizza for lunch, and I think we all did a great job!  Wednesday, same routine.   No practice during homeroom since its a short day.  But practice during lunch.  Also track that day.  I ran, and we did 2 800s for the people in that race.  After the 800s and some 400s raced a 4x400.  In my team we had jon, me, adriene, and trey.  I think I'm missing someone (x.  But we were kind of losing at first.  Then the anchors were trey and laila.  Laila almost won but trey caught up xD. That was a good race.  Thursday, orientation day 2 and night time orientation.  We practiced in the morning and lunch as always.  I didn't run again, cus I didn't wanna sweat before night orientation (x. The morning orientation kaimiloa and pohakea came.  This one was shorter, since there were less students.  Night time orientation went pretty good.  I took over sheilas part since she wasn't there.  It was a little weird xD. But I did pretty well I think.   Friday.  No orientation practice.  But I still worked payment during lunch.  Me, jahlyssa, korey, and laila were drawing stuff without looking at our progress xD.  I drew a hand, and it looked very deformed xD. I ran at track. But only did a warm up 800 and a 400.  Then inleft to softball, which I finally got to see my brother amber xD. I like making trouble to her, so I call her brother.  Well that about sums up my week.
The highlight of my week would have tk be track on Thursday.   Even though I wasn't running, it was funny being with khrizz and korey xD.  I took lots of pictures of them kff gaurd, and they took pictures of themselves kn my phone.  They're weird. But In a good way xD. Khrizz makes a lot of weird faces, and so does korey and laila.  Very attractive.   Another highlight was orientation ofcourse!!  But I thinm last years orientation was better then this years.  I liked the theme from last year better then this one.  But we all still put on a good show.  We did really well!!  I still can't believe we made it this far in the year.  It's going by really fast, and sooner or later the 7th graders now returning id gonna be the ones in charge of orientation as 8th graders!!  But I had fun doing orientation.  Especially with the 8th graders since theyre leaving soon ):.  Oh well, I'll use what they taught me for another year at ilima.
The lesson I learned is to make every minute count.  The year is almost ending, and that means the 8th graders are leaving.  Im gonna miss seeing them everyday in homeroom and at lunch or advisory!!  it was a great year with them, and I want to make every moment with them count.  Im especially gonna miss the ones in period 2!  Roxi, daisy, khrizz, sheila, and asia.  We all got closer throughout the year and we got a stronger bond!!  But sti haven't had a period 2 day like we always planned but failed to actually have one xD. Its been a great year with you guys, and it sucks having to see you guys go to high school while I'm still stuck in ilima.  Your almost graduating! !  Good luck in high school.  Til then, I wanna make way more memories before you guys leave.  Leadership won't be the same without the 8th graders here.  Period 2 won't be here.  I really am gonna miss everything.   This had been one of the best years honestly.   This was the best summer, and I hope to spend a period 2 day soon!

Orientation!

Heey guys!!  Orientation came by really fast!!  It was really hectic and busy.  We had to be productive every practice
. I think we did pretty good at orientation.  I gave a speech about ACE.  I messed up a little, but that's alright.  I think I gave a good tour as well.  Our dance went good.  On the parent orientation I had to take sheilas part, as the one whos having troubles getting ready for school.  Orientation came by really quick, and this year'sr is going by fast.  Orientation was a big event, and I think we all did great!!  Speaking was good, so was dancing.  Bannners were pretty nice.  We got ready on time.  I don't think we made much mistakes, besides who was speaking.  I stumbled on some words, but atleast I tried.  I was a little nervous going on stage talking.  We changed pretty fast, and got ready fast too.  I think all the speakers did good!!  But what I didn't like is how some people asked reallt dumb questions.  Some were really irrelevant.  It irratated me.  But atleast we showed a good orientation for the 6th graders, which were out main priorities!!

The highlight of orientation is when I was speaking.  I actually liked speaking.  Because I like to talk xD.  Well I liked being a speaker, and I was lucky to be one.  People said I did a good job.  Even though I messed up a little, I think I did good.  All that matters is that I did my best.  I had fun on stage though.  It was pretty fun getting ready and doong the actual thing.  I had to talk to trees as practice for speaking before xD. Well atleast I did that, or else I would've done worse or really bad.  Another highlight is doing the fashion show.  Once the song played to introduce the fashion show,  everyone started laughing.  Then when we came on stage with our mermaid tails, they started to giggle a little.  But atleast we put on a good show fpr the dress code.   But one of the questions that were pretty irrelevant was "can we bring cupcakes to school?"  Where did they get the idea of cupcakes.  And how did that relate to dress code.  But oh well.  I like doing the dress code.  I wish I could have watched all of us perform!  But a lowlight is when I messed up lol.  Messing up really got me down.

The lesson I learned from orientation is that we really need to be more urgent with things.  To be honest I think some people just took their time with things.  Or just decided it wasn't as important and set is aside for later.  We need to realize that what we need to do And what's important.  What needs to get done.  Everhthing is we do is important and we need to complete it with quality.   We need to realize how important things are and that we need it complete by a certain time.  we need to realize everything we do isn't for us.  Its for the school.  So if we think what we do isn't important,  your wrong.  Like orientation.  It's a big event.  It's for 6th graders to come to our school.  So it's important we put on a good show for them.  So the lesson I learbed from orientation is that we need to be urgent getting things done and that we need to realize how important everything we do is.  Next is graduation.  Now that's a really big and important event!

Coming closer

Orientation is almost here!!!  But skme mistakes are being made, which is not so good.  Oh well, summary of the week.  Monday.  Monday we went throug the same orientation practice.  Also, this week I worked T.V.  There was also an afterschool orientation practice.  That went okay.  It ran until 3:00, then I left.  I didn't do much at hoke besides homework.  Tuesday, same thing.  T.V.  then orientation practice didn't go very well.  I think this happened on tuesday.  When we got to the cafe, we didn't start orientation.   We were all basically talking.  We shouldve started.  So tbat practice didnt gk very well.  We all lost our cubbys and names on our chairs.   Wednesday, an early day.  We didn't practice during homeroom, since theres only a little time on Wednesdays.   But as always we did practice during lunch and advidory.  Thursday, same process as always.  T.V., and orientation practice.  Then track.  Im still a little worried about the race I'm signed up for o.o  which is the 4x800.  Well lastly, friday.  Friday was sort of kinda okay.  I was on T.V.  then morning orientation practice was okay.  Lunch and advisory practice was okay.  But afterschool, I misunderstood what mr.ing was trying to say.  I thought he meant that right after the toy story song we get into our yellows, but he meant after part of your world we put on our yellows.  Not a good thing I did, to wear my blue on stage.  After that practice I went to track, and didnt run since I had no shorts left.  Well that about sums up my week.
The highlight of my week would have to be when we a did the opposite of what he said.  That one day, I think Tuesday we all made a mistake and did the opposite.  We can't keep doing the opposite of what he says, because then comes a problem which we really don't need.  It's a big event coming up and creating a problem it is not the right time right now.  This involves all of us, since we all made the same mistake.  Then the next day, he asked us questions durinf our period.  I hope the other periods answered.  We answered the questions.  But a lowlight is when I made the mistake of which shirt to use.  I misunderstood it.  Not the right time to make a mistake.  Not the right time at all.  Orientation is on Tuesday already.  Atleast now I learned from my mistake, and won't do it again.  As long as I learn and don't do it again.  So if any of us make a mistake,  just don't do it again and learn from it.
The lesson I learned is to learn from your mistakes.  If you do it again, are you even learning from them ?  A mistake is not good.  Doing it over again is even worse.  So I have to learn what I did wrong, and just not do it again.  If I do it again, then it becomes a problem.  We don't need problems right now, like I said.  Mistakes are made a lot.  We can't keep making the same mistake over and over again.  It's not the right time to make a mistake.  Another lesson, is something that happened before.  When we kept doing the opposite.   Which is another mistake we made.  if we do the opposite, that's like disobeying since we're not listening is we keep doing the opposite.  We need to listen and do as commanded.  Doing the opposite created a problem.  If we kept doing the opposite the problem would've been so big!!  Espicially right now we can't keep doing the opposite.   Orientation is almost here.  Doing the opposite of what he sasmys for orientation would make this years one fail.  So I learned to not make the name mistake again, and that we can't keep doing the opposite.
