Assignment Blog

The assignment of the week was schedule pick up.  We gave students their schedules, ID's, and sold them their uniforms.  It lasted for hours, and took a long time for people to get their stuff.  It was pretty hard, and really hot!  I worked with Roxi and Asia at ID's.  I took people's papers and told Roxi the information she needed.  I had to walk back and forth, to the person and back to Roxi.

The highlight of the assignment would have to be eating lunch with the leadership family.  It was fun and I laughed a lot.  Also we had Mcdonalds ^-^.  I got to hang out with more people and talked to other people more.  I enjoyed every bit of it.  Espicially because I was starving and finally had food!  I know this had nothing to do wtih working, but It was the best time of the day in my opinion.  I know I used the same picture for my other blog.

The lesson I learned is not to be shy.  When you're shy, it's hard for you to talk to people.  If I was shy, then my job would be hard because I had to talk to a lot of strangers no matter what.  By being shy, I wouldn't get to meet new people and make new friends.  So it's better to be outgoing and talkative than shy and quiet.  If I was shy, then I would be to scared to talk to people and help people in line.  So I learned not to be shy.

Weekly Blog

This week's classes were pretty good.  Schedule pick up went better then I though it would be.  This week wasn't too much hard work, and overall I enjoyed all those little things that happened.  I had a lot of laughs and good times, so this week's classes and shifts were pretty good.  As we continued schedule pick up, I got closer to more people and learned new things.

My highlight of the week would have to be doing uniforms and staying back for other shifts.  I got closer to more people and bonded more with people in my period, and other periods as well.  It was fun, and we had a lot of laughs together.  This made me less shy.  I expressed myself more, and got to know other people more.  But the downside of this week would be not coming to leadership on Wednesday.  I missed out of stuff.  Also, by missing class that gives less time to bond.

The lesson I learned is always be accurate.  If your not accurate, while giving change, you might give the wrong amount and its going to ruin the money.  It won't match up with the receipts and the amount it says on the receipts.  While doing uniforms, that makes you do a lot of math because your dealing with money.  SO always be accurate!!

Bio Cube Project

Well, this weeks project was bio cubes.  We had to fill the 6 faces with a picture of our self, my significance, background, obstacle, personality, and quotation.  We had to be creative and make sure no brown parts of the box showed on the cube on our final piece.  On the day it was due we had to share out bio cube to everyone in leadership.  The cube was pretty hard to make, but it still looked pretty nice when I was done.

The highlight of doing my bio cube would be cutting off the flaps and taping it because I was having fun while doing it.  Korey was helping me, and she was really funny.  Also, I have this weird thing for cutting stuff.  I know, it's not something a girl would me be into, but yeah.  But the thing I didn't really like about doing the project is that I didn't cut it very straight. -.-  But oh well, it still turned out nice!

The lesson that I learned while doing this is that I have to always do my best work.  Since I didn't cut the flaps off very straight, the faces weren't as flat as I thought it would be.  It was harder to work on it with badly taped and cut flaps.  So always do your best work, because it could effect you later.  Also, not relating to the bio cube, but working on the banner it was our best work, so it turned out to look messy.  It had paint outside the lines and the letters were painted pretty bad.  So always do your best work.

GLO#1 : I tried my best, and I didn;t rush
GLO#2 : I shared my materials to make my bio cube with others so they could finish theirs as well
GLO#3 : I figured out how to fit my paragraphs onto the cube, and I was able to figure out how to wrap my cube with simple construction paper.
GLO#4 : I took my time and taped everything securely into place.
GLO#5 : I shared my cube with a strong voice and tried to speak clearly.
GLO#6 : I typed out my significance, obstacle, personality, quotation, and background on the computer with no technical difficulties or problems.

2nd Week of Leadership

This week was full of new things.  We got to do TV, music, and start on our bio cubes.  I liked how everyone got a little closer.  We did ID's and got to go 7-11 in the middle of class.  It was a pretty good week, full of good people.  All of us got closer and got to know each other better.  After all it ended pretty well.  Good week, plus good people, equals to good vibes.

I'd have to say my highlight of the week was going on the pizza date with some girls from leadership.  There was Khrizz, Daisy, Haley, Korey, Laila, and Cheana.  It was really fun and the food was really good.  We bonded and we had a lot of laughs together.  Everyone was so nice.  I was kind of worried that I would be the most quiet person there, but I was wrong.  It was a great day after all.  I really enjoyed getting to know more people from leadership.

The lesson I learned is not to be shy, because is you are, you wouldn't get to know much people.  Also if you're shy on Ilima TV, you would just make a fool of yourself.  So, I met and got closer to lots of new people this week.  I would have to say this week was the best.  I learned not to be shy because if I was I wouldn't have many friends in leadership.  I wouldn't know many people, and I wouldn't have been able to go on that pizza date I mentioned earlier.  So I learned not to be shy because you wouldn't have much fun.

My first week at leadership

My week at leadership was pretty good.  I enjoyed everyone's welcomes and help.  We cleaned up rooms, set up the borders, and made a banner.  It seemed like hard work when I thought about what we were doing, but after all we finished in a blink of an eye.  I loved spending time with some of the older students.  I was kind of worried that I wasn't in the same period as my friends, but it was good to meet new people in period 2.  My first week of leadership was pretty good, I had nothing to worry about.

My highlight of the week would have to be figuring out who would be in my period.  I was really worried that I would be with people I didn't know existed.  But when they read aloud the names I was actually happy that I knew some people in my period.  Also it was good meeting new people.  I liked talking to Asia, and Daisy, and other people in my period.  So meeting new people and knowing some people in my period would have to be the highlight of my week.

I think the lesson I learned is think before you do something.  Because when we were doing banners, we had to think about where to draw the letters and the font we used.  If didn't do that, the whole banner would be messed up. Also I think people would be making weird faces at it.  So we had to think about what to do and if something went wrong, we have to think about how to fix it.  This is the lesson I learned, which was to think before you do anything.
